PS: In my previous blog, I discussed Walmart’s rival brand, Interstate. You can check out that blog here.
Who makes Walmart car batteries?
The Everstart car batteries are primarily manufactured by Clarios, a subsidiary of Johnson Controls, a leading American car battery manufacturer based in the United States.
Johnson Controls manufactures batteries for more than 60% of the US market. They produce batteries for several brands, including Sears, Toyota, BMW, Continental, OPTIMA, Heliar, LTH, Delkor, and more. They make one-third of all the batteries supplied globally.
Walmart also gets the batteries from two other manufacturers: East Penn Manufacturing, and Exide. Both of these manufacturers are giants in the industry and have years of experience in making car batteries.
Where Are Walmart Car Batteries Manufactured?
Neither Walmart nor the three manufacturers disclose where Everstart batteries are made. Clarios, East Penn Manufacturing, and Exide all have manufacturing facilities in different parts of the world.
So it’s hard to pinpoint exactly where they would make Walmart car batteries.

Walmart car batteries are very impressive in the lower price range. Here are the top five things that make them a good choice as a budget-friendly car battery.
#1 – Powerful Cold Cranking Amps (CCA)
Car batteries usually come in at around 300 – 600 cold cranking amps (CCA). This is a stunning feature for a battery in the $100 price range.

These companies have been around for a long time and have built expertise in making batteries. That’s why Walmart batteries provide reliable performance consistently.

Walmart cart batteries come with favorable warranty policies. The EverStart Value series has a 12-month warranty, a standard warranty time given that the batteries cost only fifty bucks (approximately). The EverStart Plus and Maxx series have two years and three years of warranty respectively. This extended period of warranty takes the pressure off of you.

Walmart requires you to show the purchase receipt in the case of core charges or replacement of your batteries. If you don’t have the receipt, it would be best if you can take the old batteries to the Walmart store.

If I want to offer an alternative battery, it would be AC Delco batteries. I have covered them in my previous blog which you can read here.
