During my years as an auto mechanic, I’ve seen this error misdiagnosed quite often for these reasons:

How Do I Fix My P1211 Code 7.3 Powerstroke?
Now that you know about the code in detail, we can get to the ways you can fix P1211 once and for all. For all these methods, make sure you wear protective gear and set up you’re lighting as even professionals get injured in this field.
This is the easiest fix and the one you should be hoping for. You just need to change out the engine oil from the oil tank and the truck will be back to normal. Unfortunately, this is like restarting the PC. It’s easy but it rarely works.
Something that works even less often than the previous method is readjusting your fuel pressure but it’s worth a shot nonetheless. Cleaning out your fuel tank will solve this issue immediately.
While this may be another fairly simple solution, this has a much better chance of working.
Step 1: Find the sensor on the passenger side valve cover
Step 2: Disconnect the electrical connector
Step 3: Use a 24mm wrench to remove the old sensor
Step 4: Put in the new sensor by hand and tighten it with the wrench
Step 5: Test it out
4. Replace IPR Valve
Many people might tell you to do this yourself. I highly recommend against that. This is a really short process for your mechanic so it won’t cost you much. It’s very easy to mess up this replacement and create bigger problems for your vehicle.
5. Replace HPOP
This is where things get tricky. Stick with me as this process is much longer than the other ones.
Step 1: Disconnect the 2 batteries on your engine
Step 2: Remove the engine cover
Step 3: Drain the fuel bowl
Step 4: Disconnect the 4 fuel lines from the fuel bowl
Step 5: Remove the heater plug from your heater plug
Step 6: Get rid of the drain valve sleeve
Step 7: Disconnect the exhaust back pressure sensor and tube
Step 8: Remove the fuel bowl
Step 9: Remove and drain the HPOP reservoir
Step 10: Disconnect high-pressure oil lines
Step 11: Disconnect IPR
Step 12: Remove the HPOP cover and bolts
Step 13:Install new HPOP
Step 14: Put everything back together

6. Replace PCM
If you are unlucky, you have a busted PCM. This is a nightmare situation and needs you to go to a mechanic as soon as possible.
